Feeding Therapy
Happier, calmer mealtimes for the whole family
Gentle, play-based feeding therapy for children who find eating, new foods or mealtimes difficult, with practical support for parents and carers along the way.

Who it's for
Feeding therapy supports children who find eating challenging, including those who:
- Are fussy or selective eaters with a very limited range of foods
- Find it hard to try new foods, or become upset when they do
- Have difficulty moving on to new textures or age-appropriate foods
- Find chewing, biting or managing food in the mouth tricky
- Gag or feel overwhelmed by the look, smell or feel of certain foods
- Have mealtimes that feel stressful or rushed for the whole family
How it helps
We start by understanding your child's eating, their sensory preferences, oral motor skills and mealtime routines. Therapy then builds comfort and confidence step by step, using fun, pressure-free food play so children can explore new foods at their own pace. We also coach parents and carers with practical strategies to make mealtimes at home calmer and more positive.
Benefits
- A wider variety of foods your child is comfortable eating
- Improved chewing and oral motor skills
- Less stress and more enjoyment at mealtimes
- Confidence for parents and carers, with strategies that fit family life

Referral options
You don't need a referral to start. Parents and carers can enquire directly. GPs, paediatricians, dietitians, schools, early childhood services and NDIS support coordinators are welcome to refer through our online referral form. Many families use NDIS funding, and private clients are welcome.
If your child coughs, chokes or has difficulty swallowing when eating or drinking, please also speak with your GP or paediatrician. We're happy to work alongside your child's medical team.
