1:1 Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy for everyday skills and independence
Our growing occupational therapy service helps children, teens and young adults build the skills they need to play, learn, look after themselves and take part with confidence.

Who it's for
Occupational therapy (OT) supports young people who find everyday activities challenging, including:
- Fine motor skills, such as handwriting, cutting and using utensils
- Gross motor skills, coordination and body awareness
- Self-care routines like dressing, eating and toileting
- Sensory processing and emotional regulation
- Attention, organisation and school readiness
- Play skills and taking part with peers
- Building independence for teens and young adults
How it helps
Your occupational therapist looks at what your child needs and wants to do each day, then uses fun, purposeful activities to build skills and confidence. We also share practical strategies and adjustments for home and school, so progress carries into daily life.
Benefits
- More independence with daily routines
- Better coordination and fine motor control
- Tools to manage big feelings and sensory needs
- Greater confidence at home, at school and in the community

Referral options
No referral is needed. Parents can enquire directly, and GPs, paediatricians, schools, early childhood services and NDIS support coordinators can refer online. Many families use NDIS funding, and private clients are welcome.
